A pure silver ( fine silver, .999FS ) hand wrought stacking ring with a black oxidized finish. The ring is formed by fusing the pure metal into a ring of silver. The metal is heated to it's melting point and just when it melts, the torch is removed. Pure metals can be fused to form a seamless joint. The ring is then lightly hammered to create light reflecting facets, size and harden the silver. After the exact size is reached, the ring is tumble polished which further hardens the metal and brightens the finish. Finally, the ring is oxidized to create the metallic black color. This ring is solid pure silver.
The oxide blackening will ware off over time showing some silver.
The ring is just over 1mm wide.
